petercoulson
8000 rpm on a power master normally you post to us and 2 days later posted back making about 4 day turnaround. Most have a spare trimmer so they can swap around.
damen.rudi
Hello, On my former machine I got a small heelband. This makes a lot of noise so at my current machine I've chosen for a tungsten wheel. It's ideal for scouring soles and heels placed on plastic shoes. You just put it the right size and when being carefull you can be sure not to touch the plastic upper. As Peter wrote it makes nearly no noise and lastst for years. I'm going to order a new one, the old has last for about 6 - 7 years.
ironplanet uk900
I agree with the noise factor... mine makes so much row it does my head in... crappy design, but a way better finish than a tungsten cutter.
keithm
Firstly Jamesstratton, I am not aware of anyone requesting such a tool and your helpdesk know who to ask. The item talked about is not a band, but a wheel. They can be fitted to most machines, but need extra parts, they will not fit all machines out of the box. Mini Bands went out of the window sometime ago, due to cost, noise and some reliability issues. It still has it's place and is great for finishing PU's, Metal Heels and Stick-on Soles on those pointed 2mm thick ladies leather soles. However, now superseeded by the Mini-Roll, we have a better, more cost effective option. The Mini Roll, uses a micro band which can be used' then turned around to get the best use from it. Obviously, if you are repairing a lot of metal heels, the band will wear out quicker, but a metal/widia type wheel is not the answer, metal knackers it. We have tested widia wheels and believe that the cost over lifetime/material issue doesn't stand up, but you will judge If any of you wish to pursue the use of this item, please feel free to PM me and I will help all I can. I hope this clarifies the situation Keith
petercoulson
We actually have one in stock! Just a note the dimensions are: 25mm wide, 40mm diameter and 19mm hole which should fit most cutter shafts, the width may cause problems on power machine with the adjustable guard not covering it full (leaves approx 5mm out). We can source these from HARDO and they would cost approximately £70.00 + the dreaded and post.
