StevenB
First job of the day, this nice tiny oval clock plaque 20mm x 6mm ---------------- Diamond broke wheres the wet & dry! A broken diamond? Never had that happen before - how did it break? I can't remember the last time I had a machine fail. I know which machines are getting ropy & replace them long before they will fail. Should have spotted it was about to break perhaps...
Lee
I've never had one break before, either. I Did 5 jobs prior to the little clock plaque & have to admit the cup of tea was more interesting than standing watching the next job through the machine. At first I thought it was the material I don't see the diamond tip as a machine more a consumable. Anyway phoned Gravograph, Had a chat with Micheal & ordered another. It will be here tomorrow & in this instance, yes I ordered a spare at the same time! Now its been polished the plaque looks better than it did new, so no harm done, the customers not due until Saturday so provided Gravos give me good service, she'll never know! Gray
I always like to keep a diamond separate for fancy stuff, and one for dog tags and other stuff.
StevenB
I always like to keep a diamond separate for fancy stuff, and one for dog tags and other stuff. I keep spares of the normal 120 degree diamond for general use, and the glass diamond. I also use a 150 degree & the 120 degree narrow access diamond, but don't keep spares...
