discodave
Ive got the new bravo proffesional but every time i change the jaws round i have to recheck with 2 blank keys that the blade cuts along the whole key and not half of it. the groove that should align the keys up in a straight line isnt doing its job. is it me or the machine? Cheers, Dave

grahamparker
Are you tightening the nut that locks the jaws in place. We have had one of these machines for over three years and it is one of the best machines we have used.
discodave
ive got the newer version graham, do you clean the inside of your bravo, as the alleged sealed unit lets in dust and unless you clean them out they dont work too well mine lasted about 3 years. grahamparker
About every three months when we change the cutter i give the machine a once over but the only real problem we have had was with the on/off switch on the back,it would crack loudly blow the fuses then refuse to work anymore. I have had to replace it three times but never had to pay for one always managed to get one for free out of silca uk,although they where all within the first 18 months of machine ownership. Not had a problem other than that. We also had the silca leonardo automated machine on demo for a couple of days but soon realised the bravo could cut 5-6 times faster than an automatic machine with the same precision. I have spoken to lee @ silca and it is possible to have the machine upgraded to become a bravo maxima but for the cost i would be better off selling my machine and buying new again. discodave
ok really surprised that silca havent answered this problem and sks didnt have a clue either, seeing these machines have been out about a year now. theres a spring loaded catch not that you could tell that sits under the jaws, when you turn the jaws you pull back the spring and the jaws get held in line. for such an expensive machine silca why couldnt you be bothered to put a sticker or something on this part. i didnt get a manual with my machine so how am i meant to know about this?
