StevenB
To be honest, for a reduction of 25p in the VAT on every £10, it simply wasn't worth me going through all my stock & repricing everything. I don't think anybody noticed that I hadn't taken 3p off packs of laces, for example, and if they did, it wasn't mentioned. If it is perceived that I gained extra takings that I shouldn't, I'd point out that some of my repair materials went up in price by 40% over the previous 12 months & I certainly didn't put up my prices by that much. I don't think the worldwide price of brass (and therefore key blanks) was that stable either... to mention just two items.
Auto Key Wizard
I levied a 2.5% price increase in 2009 so prices remained the same & the 2.5% VAT increase in 2010
