derek
i think wd40 will help, that and a good wire brush, then oil the working parts,or atleast is what i would do
Lee
On bare metal mechanical parts use a brass suede brush & fine wet & dry, followed by machine oil. On the casting a wire brush & some good old smooth hammerite! Got my machine out of a shed some 20+ years ago & it was seized through rust. I've been using it daily ever since. Pyrite
Here in Australia, we generally dump it in a tub of kerosene for a week. Get it out, blast it with a compressor's air gun, dry and oil. Put a new coat of paint on it if you want a clean look and that is about it. Cheers

Pyrite
conveniently, we can still buy the old metal tubs (most people just use them to wash their dogs in) and 20 litre tins of kero pretty cheap...
Guest amuckart
There's a product called evapo-rust I've used here to restore some old machines. I don't know where you'd find it locally but it's the closest thing to magic for getting rid of rust I've ever seen. http://www.evapo-rust.com
Guest Austin
Strip it and find someone who does plastic media blasting as long as its only surface corrosion and no flaking it'll strip it away no problem
