k4mrc
you have to be sharp these days, especially in the credit crunch! watch out for this one! guy calls in asking for a large key order, leaves them and then proceeds out of shop. when he calls back keys in a bag ready also bear in mind a couple of other customers, this is to help his argument, then pays one of my staff, then starts taking keys out of bag supposingly checking them - (i was doing a watch battery near him at this point) he then says one is missing, not the copy key the original, i piped up i did them and sure i put it in the bag, still protesting member of staff hunting around, i said if its not in bag this area is where it had to be, but sure it was there, i carried on with my customer after a couple of minutes of looking customer getting angry asking for another to be cut! i said have you looked on the floor? to which my customer with the watch said "is that the one in your bag on top of your stuff!?" the crafty git had left his bag open and then dropped it in - then tried to make out it was an accident"! went bright red and walked out a lot quicker than he came in! i just laughed - "u buy one you get one free!! key cabin
There's nawt funnier than folk (as we say up north). I have had similar experiences with customers, 'this key you cut me last week dos'nt work' the lady said, so i cut her another and gave it back to her with an appoligy, she then picked up the key that she said didnt work and said ' i will give this one to my little lad to play with. I took it off her and threw it into my box of failed keys, i then got a key out that i knew would not even go near to fitting her lock, she went bolistic saying i wanted that one you have just put in there, i told her that if she wanted to give it to her little lad to play with it would'nt matter what key he had. She was stunned and walked out in a mad huff. The lenths people will go to just to try and con another key out of us is unbelievable.
