toofatbyfar Posted June 24, 2009 Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 got a bit of a problem with my is200, half way through engraving a job, the machine stops, (power fail) after abit power comes back.before i spend $1.0000000000000 on a call out, does anyone have any ideas .... When you say the power fails Does the LCD screen lose its characters (goes blank), then when power comes back on again is it as though you have just switched on? When power fails does the cutter motor pulse just slightly? Do you hear any crackling - bad electrical connection, from back of machine? Range of problems we encounter - mains plugs fallen out of sockets / mains input switch burning out / 5v rail on the power rack is dropping away allowing microprocessor to reset / diodes on the power rack overheating and shorting out.
