Gray
Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on this old hand blake i have in the cellar. It is a Phenix. Does anyone have any idea of its age or any other info, i'd like to restore it and place it in my shop window.

Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Correct Peter, once saw one adapted to run off a multi overhead drive belt set-up with a very small top drive wheel, the H&S aspect defies description though. In the same shop was a bench mounted hand operated Goodyear but the blake was used more than the goodyear as all ladies soles (there were only leather at the time) were blaked on unless they were very thin and then they were cemented on using Latex. Being proficiant in the use of Latex I am now using the technique to stick down 60 Carpet tiles.

keithm
'Edwina's' at Mallory is a chicane and almost impossible to get your knee down. But Gerrards is a different matter altogether
Gray
I love mallory, best race i ever saw there was Ago v John Cooper (Happy Days) And the hairiest thing i ever saw was Percy Taits demo on a new bog standard Honda CB500 4 thrashing it round. I'm sure it was hinged in the middle
