Michael
Remember the volume only has an engraving area of 305mm x 210mm Whats your machines limit 240mm x 132mm and it hasn't got a long plate mode like yours. Just seen the IS700 on Gravo website.Might be a good compromise, good size engraving area but a smaller footprint (non-carbon )

Craig Its a fraction of the price because its a fraction of the machine I haven't seen the software, but if its easy to use as you say, usually means its not very comprehensive. G5 is wonderfull and can cope with any engraving job. The back up from gravograph is second to none, along with there machines. You don't become the biggest supplier of engraving machines in the world if you haven't an excellent product.
Danny King
Hi, I'm not as good as you guy's at engraving but i'm learning, What sort of cutters do you use for these sign? I'm still trying to get brass to engrave nicely Danny
Michael
I use carbide cutters,as probably do most, different tip widths depending on size of font. For these larger house signs in marblite I prefer a router mill.Makes it a bit quicker for clearing out large numbers for filling. I also dont grind my own cutters so only have a few that I use the best way I can. I'm no expert but I am fast learner so others on here will probably give you different/better advice

Michael
Do you give your customers totally free reign with colours, fonts etc with a little of your expertise thrown in? You must be there all bloody day with them trying to decide. Personaly I would of gone for a lighter material to make the badges stand out more
ironplanet uk900
Totally all the customers own choice, not mine....I would have used white material myself.
