TITs
OK then, Lets try this then, When we bought over the biz it was August we moved in, on speaking to people we were told that we had missed the " Season" for trophie sales, so we have blundered on threw the winter and to our Luck one of Scotlands biggest Chain of trophie stores went pop, ( they had 30 stores)leaving only a handfull of highstreet engravers to pick up the biz, Its now April and apart from the normal bits and bobs we do day in day out we have not seen any "season" looking as though its going to happen, Is there a trophie season ? TITs
Done all that, got about 18 clubs (about 3 new clubs per mth) at the moment but they all have fairly small requirements, think i need to move into embroidery and try and increase the amount of biz I get from each club ? Dont seem to have a lot of football traffic at the moment, is it too early ?
ironplanet uk900
Does your shop look like a trophy shop !! You need to build up a reputation for doing good deals. Get down your wholesalers and buy up end of line stuff, that you think will sell, even if you have to sit on them for 12 months. alot of trophy buyers (customers) will not pay catalogue prices. Just a thought John.

busy bee
May is the start of our trophy "season" It's the end of the football season, you need to get a good reputation for engraving, send out some catalogues to all your local clubs & teams. Don't forget workingmens clubs, pubs etc. I get loads of Golf Societies, great business, they play every month & have a set of trophies/prizes every 4 weeks, virtually all year through. Ask your local undertaker if he farms out his engraving.
