So how often do you sharpen your cutters UK? (aimed at uk cos he does a lot of cutting)

Do you have a sharpener? what one do you have?

Bloody hell, I can't remember the model Number now. CG30 (Gravograph)or summat like that. To be honest I can't see how anyone can get on without one Hibs. I sharpen the Cutter almost every time I use it.

It only takes a few seconds.

As a matter of personal interest, what substance is the grinding wheel, will it do diamond tips and can you set it to do different angles?

will it sharpen tungsten drill bits?

To be honest Hugh I'm not sure what substance the wheel is made of, I can't recall as I've only ordered one. they last a long time though. It wouldn't grind Diamond bits, but it does grind Tungsten cutters, so yes it would sharpen tungsten drill bits, but you would need the right sized colet for each drill bit. And yes you can alter the angle.

Thanks UK, I thought I might be able to go to the nearest engravers and get about 50 tungsten bits sharpened but as they are of many differing diameters it puts this out of the question.

I'll just have to do each one by hand on my Green stone grinder, getting the angles right is a pain in the bum.
