fenderfreek
Hi, does anyone know why some of these Lowe Fletcher locks have just 78 on the lock face and some have 78 with the 3 digit code as well? Is it done for security reasons? Would a master key work for such a lock? Any info appreciated.
Kingkeycutter
78 is the key reference. Only there are hundreds of different locks made by L&f. It’s a reference should you lose your key. Take a look on their website and you will what I mean. I’m assuming that you have a locked drawer or cupboard. grahamparker
By not putting all 5 digits on the lock then you need the key to obtain a dulicate. It stops anyone who does not know the code walking into a shop like mine/or going online to order a key to code. The locks are usually made with 3 different options : keyed to differ, keyed alike and master keyed so in answer to your question then yes a master key would fit if they where designed to have with a master key when assembled. If not then obviously it will not work.
