Adam dale
Good evening folks I am trying to cut an abus plus key on a Silca Unocode with the e13 adapter. I enter the code into the Silca software but the machine cuts the key but they don’t work, the key looks right but it looks like it’s not cutting deep enough. I’ve tried manually adjusting the cutting card but with no success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
grahamparker
The adapter is useless it does not work, the cuts need curving to finish off. Check a genuine and you will see what I mean. We bought the adapter from Aldridges a few years ago and returned it as it is not fit for purpose. I have managed to get the rotating jaw with adapters and that works a treat. grahamparker
If you watch this video watch how the jaw curves the edge as it cuts. IMG_2904.MOV IMG_2904.MOV
Adam dale
Thanks for the info graham, if I give you the code any chance you could cut me 3x to get me out of a hole.

Just need loosen off the shield on the sensor side, so the machine thinks the lid is shut and round cuts 1, 2 & 3 to R/L and they work fine. Cut mine on the 399 Evo for years. grahamparker
Does it work as it should ? No. Therefore not fit for purpose, did not want to risk any injury as health and safety would go mental. We did finish them manually on our skm6000 but it seemed pointless paying for a jaw that does not work. The safety shield is there for a reason. That’s ok if you only have a few to cut. We get them in batches of 50 or 100 to cut so we need them to work first time every time.
Lock Stock
I’ve had no issue in cutting them with that jaw and they all work first time for me. I also don’t agree about it being dangerous or not being fit for purpose.
