Alright Dave
Hi All, I am completely new to engraving, I have a pantograph engraver and would like to start engraving trophies etc as a hobby. I have done a few samples but every time I do one I get dots every time I stop. Can anyone advise me where I am going wrong? I have attached a photo so you can see. Sorry it is not the best photo but hopefully gives you a rough idea what I mean. Many thanks
lockdecoders
either pressing to hard possibly or a fault with the template maybe. Just what comes to mind.
cobblers.keys
If you are engraving trophy plates you don't use the motor. It looks to me like when you come to the end of the letter the cutter is still spinning causing the deep circle.
Youngcobbler
You are moving too slow just get a little faster. Practicing should be good. If something need re engraving then you can go over it again. Obviously you are new so you being extra careful which is understandable.
