beware
If the image you sent is one cable, this is a very old style of COM port, not present on current PCI boards. You need a 9 pin serial null modem cable. You cannot connect a 25 pin to a parallel port and expect to connect to the machine serial port with that cable. If the image you sent is of two cables, please check the other ends connected to the machine. You only need one. This one is preferred, for parallel connection (connection on right goes to the machine): Your new parallel port will give you a port name (check in device manager) - probably LPT2: Add a printer in Windows - select the manufacturer Generic, and then the Generic Text Only driver. Assign the port to LPTXX: In Gravostyle, click Engrave, config machines. Add the correct machine (IS400 Binary), and select the recently installed print driver. It *should* all work. Maybe you have a fault with the USB ports on the rear of the machine?

doug
How does one expand his choice of Fonts?
beware
Fonts are sold in packs. there are 4 (0,1,2,3). Font catalog: https://cms2883.hstatic.dk/upload_dir/docs/Gravostyle-fonts-katalog.pdf You need to email your request to sales.uk@gravotech.com, attaching your license file (double click the GravoStyle logo in the top left of the software, then press print/order and save the file that opens). Prices are between £100 and £200 depending on the font pack required. You can also use TTF fonts by installing them in Windows. This will engrave only the outline of the TTF. beware
Using 2d fill? Set it to on bottom instead of on surface

Set it to on bottom instead of on surface Yes I am, I red somewhere that on bottom was for 3d. I did choose on bottom and could not duplicate that anomaly. Along with that it seems like there are odd things happening that I'm not used to after loading GS7 on windows 10, almost like it is missing a file or something, one example is I set my Z and hit go and it cut way deeper than zero. I set the tool to 0.000 depth so I'm not sure if I missed another setting. Is there a way to get better trained on GS7? Between trial and error along with Bob and Tom videos I can do most things but I would like to learn more Thanks for all your help
