Marion
What are your thoughts on the Pedersen Thor? I've found one online for sale, but I'm not very familiar with this machine.
petercoulson
If you want to stitch shoes with it but don't have a very good mechanical understanding walk away from it. Thor is approx 50 years old and apart from needles and tables there's no parts available.
Marion
Thanks for your reply. I have used another machine before. But wasn’t very familiar with this one. I’ve seen pictures and a video of it working and it looks really good. The asking price is 2500€ (Around 2200£), so still a lot of money. But I’m just starting on my own and all the other machines I’ve looked at are at least 1000€ more expensive. What machine would you recommend? petercoulson
Holy c**p that's way way over price for a piece of ornament. If it's euros are you euro based? If so look for Landis 12k or Pedersen rapid 316 or 317 in the UK a Goodyear instead of Landis (similar machines)
Marion
Oh okay. Didn’t realize it was so overpriced since it seemed to be working good. I’m based in Belgium, so not that many outsole stitchers available. The company I contacted only has a Frobana available or a Landis Nbic. I guess I’ll have to be a little more patient (definitely not my strong suit)
