cobbleit
How easy is it to change the shuttle carriage assembly on my 29k15. The pinion gear is badly worn and moves the shuttle carriage to much,so not picking up stitches. Have played with the timing of the pinion gears but to no avail so I need to replace the carriage and gears. I can see that you have to remove the pin that holds the and the gear and carriage together, but the machine is old obviously. Will i break stuff, giving it a gentle tap with a large hammer. No problem getting parts by the way. cobbleit

cobbleit
Lee I'm not worried about putting it back together. Is it difficult to remove. I would imagine it needs gentle persuasion rather than a ham handed cobblers approach.
