Help On Gravo

Trying to import hand writing text which I have edited as vector image in Corel Draw.

 

I did this type of thing last year for a present from the kids so I know it can be done but I just can't get it work now. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

 

Whenever I import the image/text into GS6, I trace the Bitmap and get a box around the image/text. When I look at it in Corel Draw X7 the is no box around nor background its a vectored image.

The trouble with this box is I can't hatch the text as it just over prints over the text and I do need this to be quite thick.

 

I can export the file to what ever type I need.

I have tried a EPS file type as per the images I see everyone uses but all I can do is INSERT OBJECT without an image in a box.

try viewing it in corel wireframe mode (top tab, next to file is view, click it and change to wireframe) you should see the square around it now, control U or arrange breakapart or ungroup and delete the box ,

now try saving it as PLT file and import it in gravo

In GS you should be able to ungroup the vector and then delete the box.
