yes if it has a boot lock , the good old souber tibbe pick or a homemade version overcomes this without the issues other picks have .

If it has a boot lock then the tips of the tibbe key are different and smaller in the jaguar boot lock , your pick will not be fully going home , the souber tool can overcome this , also you could pick and decode the door and cut a key to correct blank to open the boot.

The last x-type I did in the same situation had no boot lock at all. The only way I could get in was by picking the ignition to code a couple of chips in so I could get the alarm off. So it would allow me to program a remote and open the boot that way.

if no boot lock thats the way around it .

another challenging one is a saab 9-3 with keys in boot on the later hu100 when the ski hatch is locked from boot side in back seats , that ones a pig and can take time the first time you get it .

Hi,

The boot don't have key only push button.

I don,t have jag pick, I just put my normal tibbe pick in and

wriggled it around and got the door open, heard the solenoid

click and thought boot would also open, but no. Did the same to

ignition, still no entry.

Been on other sites and they favour long wire behind number plate

to pull/push mech.
