RhettaE
Vector.....what is the best program? Are there any free ones out there that are worthwhile? I have been playing with this image on some of the ones I found but I haven't been happy with the results.
RhettaE
Someone mentioned Vector Magic....is this worth the monthly fee to use?
Lee
this is pretty straight forward, nice image, black & white. what are you wanting the vector for? engraving? what machine? I vectored & converted this to .eps with no problems in Gravograph software, but you pays your money you get what you pays for! I can let you have what I did for a donation to the mizen foundation. RhettaE
That is the strange thing. It engraves fine but our client wants to send it out to be done on umbrellas. The vendor says they cannot view the image properly. It was sent as an .eps with no issues. I have no trouble using it on anything on our end. So I am stumped as to why it is causing an issue on the other end.
RhettaE
I am going to let my boss know about the foundation as well. This way they are doing good deeds at the same time.
petercoulson
Possibly the issue is with the vectorised image because for an engraver to work it needs lots of lines to follow whereas lasers and screen printers work with colours. If the logo isnt hatch filled it may work but hatch filling confuses lasers/screen printers. When I help a customer we vectorise an image to get the outline then I have to automatically re-order the lines so that colours can be changed easily. (where colour starts and finishes)
