petercoulson
Normal power unit then remove front guard with 3 screws, loosen the nuts on left bearing housing then remove bolts and nuts on right housing flick the belt off the pulley and you should be able to swing the shaft out enough to remove the brushes after loosening the 2 grub screws on each collar. Slide them off and put team pulleys on the new brushes. Rebuild it opposite way, the first brush to go on has the pulley facing the right the rest face left. The bearing housing has the slotted part to the top. Only secure the brush grub screws after holding the plate up and checking their positions, secure the bearing bolts on left before the right while pulling the shaft out tightening the belt at the same time.
