Growster
A while ago a hospital approached us for copies of their Weiser masterkey. Weiser withdrew from the UK a few years ago, and their remaining local agents (Till&Whitehead, and Aldridges) were unable to locate the records, nor any blanks for this particular suite. As the keys aren't copy-protected, Craig easie-entried 10 blanks for us. After a year, they are all coming back, bent and broken, because they weren't steel blanks. So we took a WEI9 (Silca) blank and filed down the middle ridge and managed to get a working key. That was a lot of work, and the result looks too wonky, really, even though it works. Then we chatted to Weiser in the US, who insisted that all their locks work on a WR1 blank - which seems unlikely. What should we do?
Lee
push their blank in some cuttlefish & then see if the wr1 passes Lee
