i've had somebody this morning phone me asking for a chip for a Vectra C. Basically he's bought the car with no keys & has already bought the old style remote with horse shoe blade but he hasn't got a transponder for it.

 

I've looked on 3D Group & on NW keys but all i could find was a small circuit board with transponder on NW keys that fits into an empty case for key with no remote function.

 

Does anybody know if there's a carbon type chip available anywhere or is he going to have to bite the bullet & buy a flip key?

There isn't a chip it's attatched to the circuit board on the vectra c.

ok, i used to have a Vec C & when i bought the car it came with just 1 fixed blade remote. So i did a flip key as my main key. Never opened the fixed remote up as i just kept it in drawer as a spare
