Fast Fix Elgin
Have a TAG grand Carrera calibere 36 watch which runs 3 mins slow.... Where do I start?
Lee
is it a geniune one? can you rotate that weight? only reason I ask is the hour hand on the tag website is pointed, not flat ended, but that might be a model variation? Lee

Lee
with it being a repro, I'd say leave well alone, your lucky its 3 minutes! you'll have a job getting spares which means if anything goes wrong, your up the creek.
petercoulson
Is it 3 minutes every day? If so give it to an employee and each month you will get an extra hour out of them for nothing..
Fast Fix Elgin
You would start by having a timing machine, or letting someone who has do the job.Failing that I am assuming you are familiar with how to regulate watches in general and are unsure as to how to make the adjustment? The replica uses a modified Chinese made 7750, adjustment is made in the same way as the original Valjoux 7750/7760. Be aware that the fine adjuster may not be present/functional so you may not be able to regulate it much more accurately than it is now. I would attempt to beat 20 seconds per day adjusted to 2 positions (dial up and crown down) the movements can do that unserviced and will achieve close to COSC spec if correctly serviced.
