StevenB
I have a customer who gets his shoes made by the hospital. The build inside the shoe is so large that it feels to him as though his foot is about to come out of the boot as he walks. What he would like is the leather around his ankle raised by about 2" to keep it more firmly on. My ancient patcher is not up to this job, and it's beyond anything I've done before, so is there anybody that would like to help? If you could give me an indication of how long it would take to do, and at what cost then I can speak to the customer & see what he wants to do. elfman
this customer should take them back to the issuing applience office and ask them for the alteration to be done free of charge to him .the code is b11 addition of a cuff to increase the hight of upper cost would be around £30 easy enough to do with a patcher but you would need to know the circ of the leg at the hight that he wants the upper to go to once you have that its simple enough to do
StevenB
this customer should take them back to the issuing applience office The reason that he's come to me is that he doesn't want to wait the length of time it will take for the hospital to do them for him. Therefore, it's better for me to be able to say that I can get it done in a reasonable timescale & for a price that he's prepared to pay. That way, I've got a happy customer & one who'll come back knowing he'll get good service when he brings jobs to me. easy enough to do with a patcher My ancient patcher is not up to this job Which is why I'm asking for help... Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Lee has a nice new Patcher! Could also be the weight & inflexibility that makes it feel like it's coming off.
