Simes
Lost key situation. Had two key blades cut to code for an S Reg Astra. The key code is from Vauxhall. Neither key will work. I'm thinking that the locks/barrels have been changed. What do you guys think? I've never had a cut to code key fail before where its been cut on the right blade, but then I'm a newbie! What next? Locksmith to look at the barrels? What do you think? Simon
grahamparker
If all the locks have been changed take out the boot lock there should be an orange sticker with the key number on. I assume you have checked the vin plate and car pass to make sure they are the same so that you are sure you have the correct info in regard of the key number and immo code. Sometimes you will get lucky if the locks have been changed by plugging into the vehicle and checking the key number stored as it can depend on who changed the locks might have re written the key code on board the vehicle. If i come accross a lock change on a vauxhall when progamming i will eliminate all other keys and re write the key code into the ecu for the customer while coding in a new key. Hope this helps Graham
