Stencils for glass engraving

Hello all, you have helped us in the past and I'm hoping you can do so again.

Can anyone recommend a fast and inexpensive supplier of glass stencils? We have been let down again and again by our current main supplier of self-ad tissue stencils, who keep making spelling and sizing mistakes, and I'm getting more than a little cheesed off. We do use another supplier from time to time but they are more expensive and a few days slower (although their film stencils are lovely to use). I know that ideally we should make our own stencils, but that is not a feasible option at the moment.

I use Crystal Galleries, next day delivery. I don't know how you order them, by font & size? I just set up what i want into richtext & email them the attachement and ask for an exact copy. They come right every time.

Thanks, but that's who we are having problems with. Interested to know more about 'richtext', maybe that's the answer because telling them font and size etc. is just not foolproof enough.

Richtext is just like the basic wordpad prog on windows XP. Have you got wordpad send it on that if you have

Hi rlj,

When you have ordered stencils using wordpad, do you just use the fonts available on that programme or do you import others? And if so, how would I go about that?

I know this makes me sound like a no-hoper, but never mind.

Hi Valerie,

 

I just use the fonts avaliable though I think there are more on richtext than wordpad. For me running windows XP rightclick on screen select new richtext doc. seems more than enough fonts on there.
