andy l
I raised the bed on my sole press up as far as it would go and now I can't get it to come back down. The handle turns but nothing else moves. It still comes down with air pressure but obviously it is too high to press a regular sole. I can't get it to wind down by hand. Can anyone help. Gray
Firstly what press is it? It sounds like you have disengaged the thread. try pulling down on the presser foot whilst turning the adjustment handle.

petercoulson
I have picked it up,, there is a threaded rod inside that winds the pad up and down and this has a plate welded to the top. the weld has broken and can only be repaired by rewelding it. its not actually a difficult job and much easier if you have a local welder than to send back for repair. if you need instructions let us know
andy l
Thanks peter. Dismantled top part and inside I saw the plate you were refering to. Just looks like a solid shaft coming from the plate. Is the screwed rod inside the shaft and how do i get to it? I would have no problem getting it welded. petercoulson
ring kev in the morning 01162717152, cant quite remember how the rod comes out. you have to remove the pad etc and something about a plate with 2 screws springs to mind where the rod goes into the shaft.
