SKS_User
When I'm on yor site, how would I know these referances? We've imported much of our cross-referencing into our site, which is visible when you are logged in. In this particular case, they hadn't been added to the system as the SN77 reference refers to the original key, and the system only stores comparisons for other copy blank manufacturers. Are you saying if I type in SN77 it wont be recognised ? Many thanks DB, handfull arrived yesterday.
ponsaloti
These are going back to DB, no milling and to thick. Customer returned them, dont work. These were part of and order of 19 products of which only 2 arrived and as said one of these is now going back. 1 out of 19, I've got 17 customers to call. It's nice to talk, wish DB did. Hav'nt used citysafe for 2 years for same reason.
Guest Cjm
I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with us. I agree, you should've been told that the majority of the items you ordered were not in stock. The bulk of your order was the Doormaster precut range which we haven't got in stock at present and also the Disney UL2 Tigger, Tinkerbell and Eeyore that we have been out of stock of for a while. The next shipment of these is due in, in the next fortnight. If you do wish to order from us again, I have put a note on your account that we are to let you know of any out of stock items. Again, I do apologise for you not being told this, I normally run the website orders off but your order was downloaded last Monday when I was on a days holiday. No excuse, I know. ponsaloti
I take it ,you dont normally tell the customer that your out of stock when there placing an order. No more holidays for you then
Guest Cjm
We can when we're inputting an order directly off the phone yes, as we can see the stock levels. When it's a fax order or a website order we wouldn't normally phone each customer about an out of stock item no. But, as virtually all the items you ordered weren't available then yes I would've phoned you to tell you. I'm sorry you didn't receive a phone call about this. I think I need another holiday now! redcap
There seems to be an ongoing communication problem at Davenport Burgess. Last September I placed an order with them for several thousand pounds worth of machinery and stock. Having sought several quotes, they were NOT the cheapest, but I needed one piece of equipment urgently to complete a large job and they guaranteed to meet my delivery needs. It was explained that some key blanks would be delayed a couple of weeks... but definitely; I would receive the all the machinery and the bulk of the stock within the agreed time frame. Not only was the order short of many more blanks than I had been led to believe, but the main cutter for the most important machine was also missing... making it useless for my needs. I ordered the missing parts and stock elsewhere and received them the next day. I heard absolutely nothing from Davenport Burgess until last week. A woman telephoned me and said she was going through some back orders. Did I still need the outstanding goods? To receive this call 8 months after the agreed (and guaranteed) delivery date caused me some concern!.... But I managed to remain polite and, albeit through slightly gritted teeth, inform her that, 'No' the outstanding goods were not required as they had already been sourced elsewhere. I did not even receive an apology. I would have to be very, very, desperate before I ever dealt with Davenpost Burgess again. Problems always arise with suppliers over stock orders and delivery dates. How they are dealt with determines the professionalism and credibility of the company involved. In my view Davenpost Burgess lack both.
Guest Cjm
Again, I'm sorry you've had a non-satisfactory experience with us. I agree, it is terrible that you received a machine from us without a cutter and to not have heard from us in 8 months, and then receive a phone call asking if you still required the goods is atrocious. I can only think perhaps the back order for the blanks and cutter etc went astray, as the latter part of last year was very chaotic in our move to towards our new system. I have passed a prinout of this thread to the management team so they are fully aware of this. In trying to establish exactly what happened, did you receive a special back order acknowledgment or chase this item up at any stage?
Lee
I removed this topic due to Redcaps reply being off topic & in breach of the sites terms & conditions. As the original post had been answered there was little point in allowing it to continue I did however send a PM to Chris who was happy to leave it on the site, to resolve the problems. I will now monitor the topic, any member who infringes the sites terms & conditions will have their post removed. Lee
redcap
Lee, I'm not entirely sure which terms and conditions I have breached? Defamitory? Perhaps. Although certainly not in any defined legal sense. I believe my post is factual, and any opinion expressed is entirely within context. Off topic? Yes. But the thread was already moving in another direction. Anyway, I consider myself reprimanded and will try not to post any facts or express any opinion that may be deemed controversial in the future. Guest Cjm
I think Lee was worried about how off topic the thread had gone i.e it started as a topic on SN77 window keys and then was perhaps turning into another slating Davenport-Burgess thread.
