This key is for a youngster with a Yamaha YZF 125R

His key is a mess, and he only has one, he is desperate to get some spares.

Can anybody help with ID please??

YAMA-19i OR YAMA-20i JMA CODES BUT WOULD NEED TO SEE A PIC OF THE END PROFILE AND IS THEIR A NUMBER ON THE ORIGINAL KEY TO CUT FROM CODE

I tried to photograph the profile, but I couldn't get a decent image.

The keyways reminded me of the old VW - CA1(Davenports ref)

There was no number on the key, but it was an original head with the Yamamha logo on it, and the top was quite thick, which made me think it was a transponder at first, but nothing was detected.

Iain,

Yes I do have a Macro function on my camera, but when I use the camera, the pictures come out HUGE, and I don't know how to make them smaller to put on the forum, I usually end up emailing them to UK900 and he has to do it for me.

So I took this photo with my webcam - lol.

Do you think there is a forum for hopeless photographers?

It's not anything like the picture you have posted, I have this blank in stock too.

It looks just like the Silca WT7CP or the WT7FP, but it's the reverse pattern.

I think the next step is to get the lad back with his bike, so we can try some different blanks in the lock. We might have something in stock that will do the job.

I think it's quite new, and probably not available, it's certainly not in any catalogue I have here.

Download and install irfanview program from here, www.irfanview.com

When you take the picture using macro setting, import/drag it into the program then click image>resize. Keep halving it until you reach about 382x287 pixels or thereabouts. Save the picture as a new file and use that to upload to the forum. It will still be crystal clear but much, much smaller.

Cheers,

Iain
