k4mrc
the letter 'I' i.you get asked to engrave it as an initial all the time, no problem. but one of my trade jewellers asked to do the initials N.I. in script. so normally 'no problem' did job, few days later they came back, saying customer thinks its a 'j' ??showed them on the screen, i and j - took away, luckily item is silver so after more consultation, removed it and asked then to show there customer script I's vannessa etc, i have known of this before - some mistake it as a J - as an initial but if it is put into a word or sentence no bother. i am now thinking of giving all my customers a sample board with more lettering, as to avoid this problem in the future -
Lee
When I used to pantograph I used to have the script letters printed out & laminated to show them the letters, as with the set I had the S & capital I looked similar. Lee
