Danny King
Hi, Can anyone help just got me one of these. How much do you charge for this service? Do you supply a card or anything to say the watch has been tested? Thanks Danny
Lee
I have one & Supply a slip off paper, but its important to word it correctly, using the words "at time of testing" because the second (no pun intended! ) the crown wheel is pulled out, to change the time or date the test would have to be carried out again to confirm resistance. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Good point Lee, I never thought of that, though I have never done testing it is worth remembering but how can you prove that the Crown Wheel has been pulled out if the customer says that it was never needed to alter the time etc? Lee
the point is, that any guarantee should only ever be worded "at time of testing" even a knock to the glass can break the seal, Even on a million pound divers watch! At time of testing this watch was pressure tested to the manufacturers specifications & returned a positive result. Or At time of testing this watch was pressure tested to the manufacturers specifications, but failed to maintain this rating so it now considered splash proof Or At time of testing this watch was pressure tested to the manufacturers specifications, it failed this test & is no longer water resistant. Obviously in an ideal world, if you can replace rubbers & re-seal glass & the parts are available then you should only ever need the top one!
