shoe machine removal

Recommended Posts

hi i need some advice i need a finisher picked up in southern england and delivered to my shop in scotland anyone no a courier that will move a machine like that. or will i need to hire a van with a tail lift and send some bodies down in it to bring it back ourself. I reckon van hire and fuel would be about £300 so maybe a courier wouldnt be much different without the hassle.

couriers are only interested in parcels, you could try a specialist machine removal company or give us a ring or standards. if you go to a non shoe machine company they will need to know if the machine is in storage or a shop, on a pallet or not, how heavy etc. hope it is a good machine to make it worth the cost good luck anyway

ps if you hire a van hire it personally not as a company.

the poxy government thats what. anyone can hire a lorry but if a company hires one (7.5T and over) it is deemed as hiring for reward so you have to have a goods vehicle operators licence even to hire one. to get this you have to advertise (£500 +) in the local paper that you want to operate a goods vehicle from your premises, hope there are no objections and then pay for a licence. you can then hire. this may not be the case for a one off but you cant risk it. then if the details change (ie from company owner to a company name on the licence) you go through the same process. we have been tripped up by this. then you have a big delivery one day that is over the weight limit so you need to hire 2 lorries but oh no your licence is for one, end of that idea. cant hire a bigger lorry because insurance companies no longer larger lorries you must use your own insurance. cant get any.

its a racket.

OH - and dont forget from this monday the new low emission zone hits london so get proof in writing that any hired lorry is below the limit or you will be automatically fined £1000.00 if it is over and they will get you. the zone covers the area roughly 4 miles inside the m25.

Jesus Christ, this government is out to cripple the small industries.

All to aid the growing army of Benefit Claimants, NHS for non paying Immigrants, Job seakers allowance for migrants, Housing for migrants and Immigrants, Driving lessons for them all. Socialism by the backdoor labled "New Labour" Who are all these countless thousands going to vote for? The government that lets them stay and gives them cash to Rape Pillage. Mug,Murder,Rob, Deal,Pimp,Traffic etc etc.

There is a rumour that we are all going to be issued with a Pedometer when we start to walk bcause we cant get into town centres. £1 per mile and if entering an urban shopping area £2 per 100 yards. Buying Fish & Chips will burdeb you with a recycling charge of £3 for the plastic tray collected from the vendor.

Oh and another thing on the cards, Noise Polution, Local authorities are empowered to employ migrant workers to walk around with Decibel Meters and any one farting louder than 20 Db will have an instant fine of £75 on 2 accounts of emitting Greenhouse gasses and noise interferance.

Hi,

Was this the finisher on Ebay in Whistable or Herne bay or was was it Westgate or Birchington - can't remember......Either way call Bernie at ensign liner agencies. I use him for my business... if the vendor can get it on a pallet it should end up being the height of 2 full pallets ..??

Benie is very helpful and is at Dargate in Kent which I think is near the machine......

At the minimum cad it would probably be 2 palletes in lenght and probably just wider than 1 pallet. I think it would have to be lifted via a hoist or fork lift with slings.

A good contact though for anyone wishing to use a carrier of large items.

Oh and it could go onto a low loader via rolling on scaffold tubes, although I am only guessing here as I confess to knowing very little onMachine Movement larger than a Goodyear.
