trophy wanted

Recommended Posts

i'm looking for a bit of help from any of you trophy stockists as we don't have a supplier anymore , i'm after a marbled base or similar with a crib figure and a darts figure, ( yes, both on the same base) can anyone help please as it is a favour for a friend.

cheers rick

ps. if you haven't got the base then the figures on their own will do.

we don't have an account with a supplier anymore since we stopped stocking trophies and i wasn't sure anyone would send just one item out to a non account holding customer, even by pro forma, thought it would be easier to ask on here see if anyone's got one spare.

cheers, rick.

Now that you have moved forward and expanded you are going to need more suppliers, bite the bullet and get as many as you can... you dont have to deal with them on a regular basis, but somewhere down the line you may need one of their products.

Suppliers catalugues give a bigger picture of what is available to your customer. You dont have to stock the products but if you8 can show the customer the item that they are after you can order the 1 item if you have an account.

Problems with accounts!!!!! highlight them here.

agreed hugh but the usual high cost of postage for such a small order would probably negate ordering just one item. one of our old suppliers were terrible for the postage charges they slapped on.

it's been our experience too and the main reason we stopped doing trophies that people who looked in our catalogue for what we didn't have in stock were usually too impatient to wait a few days for the stuff to arrive, they wanted it yesterday with free engraving

Cant wait-wont wait customers are very difficult to please and you cant stock everything for everyone Rick, but, if you have a catalogue some are prepared to wait if they cant get it elsewhere. As for Postal charges well, you just add that onto the item price for specials, at least the customer is given a choice rather than "sorry dont/cant do those".

Downside is, you have a shop full of bloody catalogues that promise the tops in service but you can never get an item that is in stock. (even in the 1st week of issue). They do take up some considerable space in a restricted enviroment but I for one would not have been without them.
