Cast brass signs

Recommended Posts

Is That just cut threw the painted surface ? does it not chip ?

Would it not rust ?

Did you infill ?

Gice us one of your "Photo" tuitorials

Rusty brass now that would be a worry

Actually when you begin to think about it... If brass did go rusty it could well end up a kind of Whiskey colour.... I hope you're not letting trade secrets slip there... :smt046

You need a orange band cutter, and it needs to be sharp or it will chip the paint.

The text would tarnish in a short time, you would have to either laquer it or do a paint infill (not black paint though  )

There is a tutorial on paint infill

I should read with less speed.

I thought you said that they come BACK well engraved!!

After reading over again I now see that you said the come OUT well Engraved. I could also have thought that you meant that they come out from CBs well Engraved.

It dont take much to confuse me

Last time I was trying to hand engrave Cast brass I kept hitting shrapnel and getting thrown off course, do you not get imperfections such as air pockets in the cast signs UK?
