? shoe sring and barcoding there blister packs?....when?

god ,been asking and waiting for ages about this, anyone working at shoe string, hope ur reading this, please please please, get youre bar code system working and put on youre blister packs,you are one of the biggest players in the shoe lace industry and the year is 2006...............would make life so much quicker............................... come on plz weve been promised this for years now.........................

We have bar codes written for the range so when you place your order insist on bar coded stock and it will be done. Delivery will take a day or two more but this will give you an immediate solution.

 

I have as a result of your mail got on the case. We do bar code private label orders but because the majority of our customers requiring coded stock keep a sheet of codes at the till point as they do not wish to have so many coded for all the colours on their system.

 

So tell me would we be better not using different codes for colours?

 

In favour of a simplified system depicting size, style & price but not colour?

 

The end of eash boxed outer is labelled and bar coded with content of the box and all details, this would be un-changed.

hi caroline, thxs for youre reply,yes i am aware you barcode some,blister pack boxes,but we could really do with each pack being barcoded, as when the customer takes this, lace to the til it is scanned, and straight away, we have product and price,most of all this saves time,especially when putting products on shelves, you do supply a terrific range of laces, and youre company service is always great, and i am aware that,alot of repair outlets, dont have the epos, system like we do, touch screen tills etc, but, im sure you dont just supply repair shops with laces,and it makes alot of sense bar codes on each blister pack................the question i would ask is how many shops dont stock youre laces as they dont ,have bar codes on each pack, dont think tescos,(god forbid they did not get a contract with you,would not help small shops out lol)would even think of using a companys products without barcodes, this is the way forward.......and makes alot of sense.............I NO A WOMEN of youre talents can sort this out,ps this is constructive criticism at this point only, as for everything else youre company offers is great,i did raise this point over a year ago with a rep and was promised it was going to happen.......but im still waiting....please rattle some cash bang some heads...........you will sell more, i guarantee this...................thankyou look forward to youre reply.

We have all the machinery for bar coding individual pairs so I am pressing forward with getting the problem forced forward.

 

In answer to my question would bar codes which gave all information apart from the colour of the lace be sufficient?

 

eg: - Bar code reads 60cm Flat RSP £

100cm Round RSP £

 

I only ask as this is the system we are taking up at present.

yes caroline, what youre suggesting would be fantastic,with the system we have in the shop ,we could make ajustments as needed,would you recommend, when we phone a order threw to shoestring,we mention,to remind the staff that, could we please have blister packs with barcode info on each pack of individual lace,? thxs for youre swift reply,look forward to youre answer regards k

You will also be glad to know that from Monday you will be having a 9p per pair saving on all your Black and Brown laces 60 - 140cm.

one of the microsoft products, excel or word or summat creates barcodes, i can't bloody remember which one though

it may even have been lotus smartsuite
