The difference between copying and cloning. COPY (Paxton credential only) If you copy a Paxton token of any type, the encoded Paxton credential that is stored in the 4x 32 bit user pages, is copied to another fob or card. This copy process will work with fobs and cards from Paxton Compact, Switch2 and Net2 systems. It will also work with fobs or cards from Paxton10 systems working in Net2 mode (i.e. that are using any Net2 readers). CLONE (Paxton credential and Hitag2 serial number) To fully clone a Paxton fob or card, the credential above is copied but further Hitag2 data is also used from the fob or card. The Hitag2 transponder serial number (locked at manufacture) is added to the Paxton credential as well as the reader type used by the Paxton multi format reader to communicate with the transponder. So, a Paxton10 fob or card can only be cloned if the clone can change its Hitag2 serial number to match the original. ANSWER Only a PX1 Opentag cloner can clone every Paxton or GDX to one fob, the PAX10 Fob, designed and manufactured by the PX1 manufacturer.

The icopy-xs display says it can copy Hitag, so why can't it copy Paxton, Paxton are all Hitag2.

All the claims of ONISAN2000 (aka Mr TDF1) taking 2 years to break Paxton encryption is absolute bull****. Paxton does not use any type of encryption on it's systems, they are all Hitag2 transponders used in password mode only. It took seconds to sniff the Paxton password from a Paxton reader, which is now common knowledge. The Paxton password was changed on the "doctored" fobs and cards so they could only be used by the TDF1. ETD, TDF1, iCopy-x cannot read, copy or clone any Paxton fob or card. iCopy-x is only a Proxmark Community device, ripped off by the Chinese and monetised, just buy a Proxmark. PX1 Opentag from Retag UK is the only Paxton cloner on the market, nothing else can touch it.

The PX1 Opentag Cloner can clone to any standard Paxton fob or card, any colour to any colour, any shape to any shape. The Paxton credential is in the data stored in the transponder, the fob or card shape or colour is irrelevant. They are all the same Hitag2 PCF7936 ID46 transponder inside.
