Hi, I'm trying to help my brother in law out with his IS200, he has always used gravostyle gift and just recently the computer (winXP) had got an error with C++ and won't start gravostyle gift at all even after I reinstalled C++ redistributable. I can see the key dongle which is connected to a large port probably LPT. Is there a way I can get gravostyle gift to work on a windows 10 machine via a USB to LPT converter? It would make it souch easier to get him back up and running

I hope someone can help,

So I reinstalled windows xp on my brother in laws pc due to a c++ error stopping gravostyle gift from loading.

Gift now loads and can see the key (in options) which is a 25 pin printer port connector. I have the GT stream driver installed and setup as printer in LPT1. When we try to engrave using gift I can get the machine to set to IS200 which is his machine but it only lets me choose  COM1 to COM4 and doesn't show LPT.

Anyway when you try to engrave a job window pops up saying sending data but no data gets sent it just stays on 0kps and the machine receives nothing.

Do I have to somehow get COM1 data sent to LPT1? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

In the program folder, gravostyle_g, find the config.ini file and edit in notepad.

Find the line 1=1 - IS200 - COM1

Change COM1 to LPT1

You sir are a legend, wasn't quite right as the file was a different name and was in C:Windows would you believe but I went on the hunt for a config file and found it thanks to you. Got it working so he is happy
