lock&quay
What's the difference between a tracer & decoder ?
Matt@Silca
What's the difference between a tracer & decoder ? They are different names for the same thing. You can use your U111 in the short term to read the keys whilst waiting for the new part if you wish. from the main menu select 6-OPTIONS then 3-TRACER POINT and disable the tracer. The Viper will now ask you to install the U111 into the cutter shaft when you want to read a key. Once the new small tracer has arrived, just re-enable the tracer point. (after calibrating of course) lock&quay

Matt@Silca
The U111 will need to be fitted in place of the cutter, not where the smaller U103TT was.

According to the manual when putting the cutter back in & replacing the tracer Re- calibration is not required , is this correct ? thanks . That is correct, just ensure the cutter is fully 'up' before locking. lock&quay
