Why is that so complicated why isn't their just 1 button that says ungroup all like on vistool one click then move about the characters you want. Surely even gravo software has an easier way

It is that easy, but only if you have the graphic level software.

If your running Discovery Max & lower you can't convert curves in the software, which gives you that feature.

 

This was just a way around it if you don't have that level software. It's not that bad to do anyway. It's a not a lot a different to changing letters from black to blue on vis tool, the only real difference is sending just one tool over at a time instead all items. Once you've done it s few times it is very easy & not very time consuming.

 

Maybe I made it look more complicated then it is. I was trying to do a walk though as someone earlier said they were new to the software.

It does seem very long winded as Craig said but it does work.

Like everything changing software always makes doing some tasks longer and there are things that are quicker and better with Gravostyle. The automatic Z and the laser point and shoot are very handy.

The main advantage of the IS 400 is the larger area it can engrave. We can now do larger brass and house signs, large salvers, those enormous rose bowls and cups etc.

My frustration is still the fact that we were not told that this was not going to be the full software package when purchasing, which would have influenced our decision on which machine to purchase .

It does look complicated to a vistool user but was very good of you to try and help someone else with detailed pics like that
