mathews
Hi all, When changing the brushes. 2 of the rotating polishing sections have iron > applicator pad > brush On one section we have 2 x brushes. All standard stuff. The left most brush has a collar with 3 self tapers going through holding it to the brush and one grub screw holding it to the shaft. Any tips for getting that fucker out. Space is too tight for a puller. Lots of WD40, still wont budge.
petercoulson
Easier to drop the shaft off, remove the screw from the front tinwork and feel behind the bearing housing where there is one bolt holding it on, 17mm spanner needed. mathews
All done took the unit out and went down to the garage to use a puller couldnt find one with a good fit so ended up putting a socket over the shaft and pressing it out of the collar. Was a bit rusty inside which was why it had seized.
