Tricky logo conversion

Been trying to convert a logo, but can't quite get a decent result - I think the quality is a little too low. If anyone can manage to covert it to EPS vector (for gravographs) I'd be happy to make a donation. Logo is in downloads/miscellaneous/ULAS logo

I've used a very similar logo for a different part of the Air Force. It's not entirely what you want but if you're working with nothing much, perhaps it will help a little. Simple to replace the text in the scroll and the centre image needs popping in. Font is Albertus Medium but yours looks more like Times.

 

Have put the eps in the military section in downloads as UOLAS.rar. Again, not 100% what you are looking for but hopefully it will help a little if you are still working on it.

 

Edit, jpeg to show uploaded. just noticed that mine doesn't have the feathering around the outside either, sorry about that.

Thank you Graham, I will download this shortly and see if I can add a few of the details.

 

Lee - I did intend to attach the image to the post but got a message about not accepting files larger than 640 pixels and didn't want to reduce the quality still further. I intend to remove the original file once it's finished with
