MAW
I am hoping that you kind gents or maybe even ladies can share a decent technique for engraving/infilling old school type black round trophy bases. What type/size of cutter do you use, motor on or off, nose cone on or off, speed, depth and what do you infill with paint or rub n buff or anything else? I have managed to shag up a couple recently so figured I must be going about it wrong, can anyone please give a talk thru of how to achieve a decent result. Many, many thanks. Cheers Mart -Any cutter should do as long as it's nice and sharp. -The tip of your cutter should be sharpened pretty fine for this sort of job...compare the width of the tip of your cutter to previous entries if you're unsure. -The motor will need to be on -Nose cone is a must. -Full speed ahead is fine. -We have a stick of white wax that we use for infilling.
