damen.rudi
A client brougth in a horse saddle (Stubbe) that had been lying for over a year in a shed. They want to colour the saddle in the original brown because the colour has disappeared by rubbing by the boots. How can I colour a saddle? Products? Perplexus
The best dye on the market (in my opinion) is Fiebing's Professional Oil Dye, which is available in a range of colours from Le Prevo (http://www.leprevo.co.uk/) or Abbey England (http://www.abbeyengland.com/). It's a deeply penetrating spirit-based dye that is permanent, and does not rub off onto clothing . . . but it's not cheap!
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
I second that..Feibing,made in the USA who are not restricted to the same laws as in Euroland. They manufacture several differing kinds of Dye and it is important to get the correct one. Healy's of Wickersly Yorkshire also carry an excellent range of French Dyes for Footwear-Leather Coats/Bags & Car Seats/Furniture, important to get the correct one once again. I have been using their Dyes for many years and their Shoe Creams are superb for Furniture. (I think the Dyes are called Tentiure Francaise) (The creams are Saphir and the colour chart is just about the best there is with a hole in the centre of each colour block so the colour can be matched as near as possible).
