actionman
Hi a customer has phoned me today with a 2001 Saab 9-3. Basically his son has borrowed his car & seems to have buggered up the ignition. He forgot to put it in reverse before removing the key so when it didn't pull straight out he thought it was jammed so he's ragged it out. Now when he puts the key in & tries to turn the ignition on the barrel is stuck & won't turn As anybody come across anything like this before? I've not had much to do with Saab so not quite sure if it's just a case of changing the barrel Craig

actionman
i ended up speaking to somebody on a Saab forum that had done the same thing himself & he told me to force it into reverse then turn the key to on position so it aligns everything back up again. Took some effort to get it all the way into reverse. Barrel was still a bit jammed, i cut a new blade & used that in the ignition, had to pressure with some pliers. Didn't want to do it with his original TWICE remote in case it snapped
