Sks tempest help needed.

I have a tempest machine from SKS and i just bought the code cutter JC025. I fitted cutter to my machine and put two identical key blanks in each jaw ready to set up the new cutter. Problem is when i fully de-adjust the tracer as far back as it will go the cutter still won't touch the key. It looks about 1mm out, its as though the cutter is too small. The cutter is alot smaller than my normal cylinder cutting disc but the code cutter listed as the correct cutter for my machine. My normal cutter works perfect. I wanted the set this machine up as a depth and space machine to use with depth keys only. Any ideas before i contact SKS or get my tracer adjusted by an engineer???

For anyone who doesn't know the code cutter is a cutting disc the same shape as a Blitz cutting disc like this \/ rather than the normal cutting disc shaped like this |/ .
