Is christmas, Christmas?

Looking at a lot of the independants around my town I have noticed their shops and market stalls look bland, nothing displayed cleanly or in fact changed since last Christmas. In fact they all stand outside there own shops 'smoking' waiting for customers I laugh more to myself at this point alone, we all want customers in our shops and some of these guys put up a wall of smoke and expect people to walk through it,( I usually walk a mile to the next shop even if it is more expensive!) So thought to ask you all to walk across the street outside your own shops and have a careful, considerate look and firstly ask the question - is it the same as a month ago? a year ago? are your windows clean and presentable? (We all need to look and ask whether or not it can be more appealing perhaps too many Christmas decorations? this can look car bootish,) if the answer to these questions is yes great you might just make good sales this Christmas, if its No - get on with it - There is only one month to go and if you want to be successful now is the time to do it! time is running out and there really is not a lot of money around for any of us to lose customers because our windows are not clean tidy and well presented! try and think outside of your 'Goldfish Bowls' to what the 'average joe' looks at as they walk past your shop and then you might increase your sales this Christmas.
