petercoulson Posted January 21, 2010 Report Share Posted January 21, 2010 depends on the cfm you need to do the job but see http://www.shoerepairer.info/bb3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5412&p=51220&hilit=compressor#p51220 for silent ones. a better quality one is a junair, wouldnt touch bambis any more but whatever one you get if you get a silent one then regularly check the oil level they usually need topping up every 6 months or so, do this and they last for ever. Nowt wrong with Bambi if you look after them properly, check the oil like any compressor and they're fine. We've had many back here that are donkeys years old and still working.
