depends on the cfm you need to do the job but see http://www.shoerepairer.info/bb3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5412&p=51220&hilit=compressor#p51220 for silent ones. a better quality one is a junair, wouldnt touch bambis any more but whatever one you get if you get a silent one then regularly check the oil level they usually need topping up every 6 months or so, do this and they last for ever.

Jun Air are excellent compressors but more pricey. Nowt wrong with Bambi if you look after them properly, check the oil like any compressor and they're fine. We've had many back here that are donkeys years old and still working. But, the worse one of the lot is Sil Air, now defunct, but they always come back knackered.

 

You pay's ya money and makes ya choice :wink:
