MAW
Hi, Suggestions/advice please from anybody out there that uses Intaglio in Gravostyle. I've just started experimenting with Intaglio and am cutting text into Corian. The results have not been what I was expecting and I put this down to my choice of cutters so far played around with. I am looking for a nice graduated groove but am finding that I get an island effect in the middle of the text. I thought that I would start with a nice easy font "Tahoma Bold" set at 15mm. What do you reckon on the optimum type of cutter for this job? Thanks in anticipation. Regards Mart
stevecoco
If you have an 'island' left in your text then you might need a 'flatter cutter' i.e not so pointed. see Suregraves website on http://www.suregrave.com/cutters.html, at the bottom of the page there is a comparison chart, a table of cutter types and in red what they look like when cutters used. Hope this helps.
