StevenB
I need new bases for two trophies, and cannot find anything suitable in the catalogues. Firstly a cup with a wooden base 136mm diameter, needs a new section adding, the same diameter, and approx 40mm deep. I can't find a local woodturner or I'd have it sorted - can anybody help? Secondly, a delightful marble base, also needs a new piece adding. It is 105mm square, ideally the new piece would be 110mm, depth is 20mm. I don't expect to be able to match the 1970's bathroom suite green, so would accept pretty much any colour. Any help / advice would be welcomed. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Aint no Engraving bod but if you cant get it sorted try these thoughts. For the round one try the Woodturing Magazine (Classified Ads) For the Marble type try the Stonemasons that do Cemetary Headstones, they have offcuts and the machinery to cut to size. (Black Granite would go with the existing colour) New type of Kitchen work surfaces offcuts may also be of use.
